The functions of selective welding?

The functions of selective welding?

What is selective welding? In selective welding, specific via devices on the PCB are selectively “welded” from below. Selective welding is different from wave soldering. In wave soldering, the PCB is transferred to the fixed wave in a straight line. The selective welding is to use a robotic hand to move each of the fixed welding nozzles and each board on the processing tool.

Selective welding is a new concept in modern assembly technology. Its emergence has promoted the development of SMT and provided PCB designers with new craft options. Selective welding and nozzle technology knowledge will enhance competitive advantage when performing new designs and assemblies. Wavelet welding can be selectively performed for local via devices.

Another advantage of selective welding is its ability to program in a particular way for each board or even each component. In addition, the comprehensive application of a board, a series of boards or various methods in the shift production can fully realize the reproducible and consistent automatic production.
