Principle and process of optical vision centering of component placement

After the PCB reference calibration is completed, the nozzle picks up components on the feeder, and then takes a picture of the bottom of the picked components (viewed from above). Scan the CCD on the mounting head of the small component, and fix the CCD on the large component, and then compare with the standard image of the component in the image library to confirm the component. The comparison is as follows.

① Compare whether the image is correct. If the image is incorrect, the mounter considers that the model of the component is wrong. The component will be discarded according to the program settings. The alarm will be stopped after several times.
② Identify the components that have deformed pins and failed coplanarity and send them to the throwing position specified by the program.
③ Compare whether the center coordinates X, Y, and rotation angle θ of the component after picking are consistent with the standard image. If there is an offset, the mounter will automatically shift the pick offset [offset (X) offet (Y) offset when mounting. (θ) is corrected to the component’s placement coordinates, so as to ensure the placement accuracy of each component, as shown in the figure.
